Q:
Is Root Canal Treatment Painful?
A:
Root Canal's have a bad name. It is true that many people are in a lot of pain BEFORE root canal therapy due to infection, but getting a root canal should be no more uncomfortable than getting a cavity filled. We use effective anesthetics and advanced technology to make the experience a positive one. Patients are simply relieved that their tooth isn't aching anymore. I get people out of pain, not put them through it.
Q:
Does Root Canal Therapy cause illness?
A:
According to the American Association of Endodontics, the myth that root canal's cause disease is linked to a poorly conducted study from from a long time ago before modern medicine understood the causes of many diseases. There is no valid evidence linking root canal treatment to disease in other parts of the body. Site:

Q:
Is it better to just pull the tooth than getting a Root Canal?
A:
I make every effort to save a patients natural tooth. I believe this is better than replacing a pulled tooth with something artificial. Endodontic therapy through root canal treatment has a very high success rate and often lasts a lifetime.
